Lessons in Life

The following are my reflections in life that might be a point of reflections also to those who will read this:

1. One single act can ruined our life including all the things that we achieved. Thus, it is important to know what is wrong to our choices in life and how these choices will affect us and other’s perception.

2. The most important intangible things in life is our refutations, integrity and a good name for our children. A person may commit a series of mistakes in life, but that person in the end must not allow losing her soul along the way. (The bible in fact said that when we measure a particular integrity, it is the testament of others that is mostly important, yet it also said that whoever among you didn’t not commit mistake must first have the courage to throw stones to the other)

3. Allowing a space for doubt in our own capacity is a manifestation of a good virtue, which is humility.

4. Arrogance in life lead to death, while comparison with what others has lead to resentment. Resentment is breeding ground for carelessness and acts that destroy trust and confidence.

5. All of us is a struggling sinners to be good while others saintlty pretenders .

6. In the end, every mistake is a learning process. Mistakes are events to be corrected. On the other hand, mistakes lead to suffering yet suffering can be a healing process.

7. One day, I visited an office of a politician. I was in the 12th floor and seeing the cityscape, the mountains, lights and beauty of being in the top. But the scene remind me of one passage in the bible where the Christ was side by side with the devil while they are together in the mountain and tempting Jesus that if he will worship the devil, the latter’s earthly kingdom and treasurers will be given to him. In the same way that if we crave for power and anything in this earthly life, we may get it completely but vanish our soul forever.

8. In the same way that there are things in life that we cannot really control because of our limitation and capacity, it is in this idea that we need to define those things that we can particularly in the aspect of our life.

9. Dependency to God is the highest form of faith. Faith that must be a way to discipline and a life dedicated to God. It is for this reason that despite of my limitations and the darkness that we can see within our social institution, it is only right to be hopeful for God is faithful and provides justice through our little acts of courage. I wonder why some of my friends dances together with thieves, strive to get more even if they already have without realizing that what they only need is less.

10. For that matter, let us love the children for they are weak They are weak to understand the coercive side of our society. We may provide good future for our children not necessarily by deprieving other children's future. The children are vulnerable to pain yet at the same time they can be a source of inspiration and infinite hope.

I'm just a mere student of yours, and it will be my great honor to learn more things from you.

Anyways, do our fellow Christians forget what's the essence of being a "True Christian" really is? If I'm not mistaken, following the teaching of Christ himself, is what we Christians be doing.

It's sad to think that some of the well respected persons, like that of Mahatma Ghandi, can say things like:

"I like your Christ, but I don't like Christians. Your Christians are nothing like your Christ."

Can we blame him? With literally hundreds of Christian Denominations out there, some even branding each others as heretics, false prophets, decieved ones, etc..., it promotes more and more divisions among us.

Can't we just all get along? Quoting a bible verse:

1 Corinthians 1:10

"I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought."

I believe that someday, this word of God would actually brought to life.

Until then, Peace to you all and God Bless!

since we are talking bout lessons in life, i would also like to share mine..

if we really wants to change our life, we should let ourself to be in a process. Its really hard for us to have a drastic change, but if we let ourself be guided by Him, we can gradually change not only our own perception but each of our wrong beliefs about life. We cannot change ourselves by our own capabilities. Only God can manage to do it.

Each one of us commits mistakes in life and we should learn from it realizing that this kind of mistakes shouldn't be done twice
We should be contented with what we have in life right now
We can change our sinful life with the help of God. Have faith with Him, continually praise and worship Him. Read bible to know and understand the word of God and will enlightened our mind spiritually.

Lessons in Life
In this article, Lessons in Life, it talks about how people commit mistakes and learn from it. I believe that mistake is a learning process because you realized what you’ve done and learn how to fix it then move on. From it, you learn something that could either destroy or improve one’s life. However, I don’t agree with the statement in number 3 saying, Allowing a space for doubt in our own capacity is a manifestation of a good virtue, which is humility. I read in the Bible that humility is considering others better than you. But not necessarily thinking less of yourself.

Many things happen in our life that goes beyond on what we expect. We should think a hundred times or more before doing an act and knowing its consequences that can ruin our life. Many youth nowadays had many wrong decisions in their lives. At an age of 14, any teenagers indulge themselves so close to their partners, which leads to an unexpected pregnancy.
